A few examples of my work will be exhibited, art works made from a variety of media as I further tentatively explore my creativity.
In addition, I have a passion for bringing new life to old pieces, and have a particular love of sewing boxes.
During Virtual Artweeks my focus has changed from being creative to following a process to create, as I am sewing scrubs, caps and bags for our keyworkers.
I'm delighted to have a studio space for the first time, moving in during March, – I had a very small taste of working with other creatives before lockdown! I’m looking forwards to getting back to Ayres House Studios, Wallingford, and enjoying the artistic inspiration that comes with working within the studio space.
I was lucky enough to study Fashion and Fabrics in my youth, and this led to a life-long love of sewing, along with interests in other arts and crafts.
Now working from a studio at Ayres House Studios, Wallingford, I am now able to concentrate my efforts, making crafting a larger part of my life.
My current drive is a simpler, more thoughtful life, using age-old skills and re-using, re-purposing, re-cycling where I can. The pandemic has certainly tested this drive!
