I have lived in a lovely North Oxfordshire village for nearly 40 years.
I took up painting when I retired from a long career in nursing. After a few lessons from an artist friend I developed my own style. Usually working with oil paint, I have recently tried acrylics and mixed media pictures.
I enjoy seeing an image emerge and develope and find that creative feeling very satisfying.
The beautiful countryside around inspires me and I love the wonderful effects that the light can give to a scene.
As well as landscapes ,I paint flowers and animals , particularly horses, as I used to keep my own.
I also love the play of light and reflections when painting a still life featuring glass.
