Peachcroft Barn is a wonderful venue, and as well as including a range of artists there is an excellent cafe and plenty of parking. The exhibition starts on May 18th and continues until Bank Holiday Monday.
This year I’ve used my hobbies and interests as inspiration for my work.
I love gardening, and enjoy painting flowers. Tulips are a particular favourite. I spend time in the kitchen, hence my pictures of jugs. These are done using a monoprint technique which is fun to do. I sew, and make quilts from time to time, so my sewing machine has provided me with more inspiration. And I love being by the sea, and have memories, sketches and photos to remind me when I’m sitting in landlocked Witney.
I love colour, and I use acrylics and inks, plus an injection of other media and some fabric. I like to think of my work as h being happy, and maybe a little quirky.
