Harriet Calfo is a mixed media artist, creative retreat leader and spiritual director based in West Oxfordshire. She works with a range of art processes including paint, photography, print and stitch, creating colourful works with layers and depth.
Harriet was born and lived in London until she moved to West Oxfordshire with her family in 2011. The move was greatly influenced by her desire to be closer to nature and where she began a journey of connecting with the beauty and voice of nature. She is inspired by colour, pattern, texture and form that unapologetically express the individuality and glory of her subject.
Harriet Calfo gained a BA (Hons) Fashion Knitwear Design (1994) from Nottingham Trent University. Whilst raising a family she continued working freelance and exploring her creativity. In the last 5 years she has combined her skills and passion and turned to painting whilst studying and developing her style. She has studied on the Art2Life Creative Visionary Programme and for the last two years on the Year- Long courses at Newlyn School of Art.
