Nestled in the rolling hills of West Oxfordshire, I handcraft simple, individual ceramics from my secluded woodland studio. Vessels are created to be cherished; to turn ordinary moments into something special, to connect us with little moments of life.
Throwing clay is wonderfully relaxing; an all encompassing activity transporting me to a place where everything blurs and creating in that moment is all that exists. I am continually enthralled by the way clay can be transformed by hand into something unique and beautiful.
White stoneware is my canvas of choice, where the simplicity of a glaze can take you on a journey. A rich ocean blue glaze, is one of my favourites, beautifully echoing the hues of the Cornish coast evoking feelings of connection and complete calm.
