Exhibition information
I create thrown and hand-built ceramics designed for everyday use, bringing art into the rhythm of daily life. My work is rooted in the sgraffito technique, a process that allows me to carve playful, doodle-like patterns into the clay surface. This spontaneity and freedom of mark-making bring a sense of joy and individuality to each piece.
Much of my inspiration comes from nature, particularly the flowers I encounter on walks through Oxfordshire. Their organic forms and delicate details influence my designs, weaving a connection between the beauty of the outdoors and the objects we use in our homes.
Through my ceramics, I hope to offer pieces that are not only functional but also invite a moment of delight—a favourite mug for morning coffee, a bowl that brightens a table, or a plate that turns a meal into an experience.
