Artist information
I have always painted. I love to go on long distance walks, often along coastal paths, which give me a lot of inspiration for my work. I am a member of Oxford Arts Society and Abingdon Artists.
I was thrilled to be chosen to paint an Ox for the Oxtrail24 to raise money for Sobell House. My ox was decorated with images from Alice in Wonderland and was bought by The Lewis Caroll Society and is now on permanent show on the top floor of the Westgate shopping centre.
When I am not doing this I am performing with The Mellstock Band and The Oxford Waits.
Exhibition information
I love to paint the sea in all of its moods. The way the colours and textures change with the weather and the time of day fascinate me. I sketch and paint outdoors and take many photographs. As I paint the work changes and develops as I apply textured paint, washes, spray paint until a get the mood I want. I hope people can feel and hear the sea when they look at them. This also applies to landscapes that I paint.
My work is in many international collections and rarely a day goes by when I don’t paint.
For many years I have exhibited with a group in Peachcroft Barn. As the barn is no longer available we have moved to Appleton Barn as Art Transplant -site 174
