I moved to London from Denmark and studied at the London College of Fashion as I wanted to explore a bigger world, eventually settling in Buckinghamshire. The Chilterns being a ever-present source of ideas, locked in my mind for future use. I often take a picture in my head, that is stored away to be used as a fragment for future use.
I am a felt and fiber Artist, creating jewellery and wall art from pure sheep's wool and mixed media. To bring my art to life, I embellish my felt with beads, embroidery and other natural materials such as horsehair.
My work with Concrete jewellery embrace the imperfections inherent in its creation which naturally occurs during casting, ensuring that no two pieces will ever be the same. Sometimes they resemble stars across a dark sky at others sparkly geodes.
Having grown up in Denmark, I am inspired by the sometimes harsh and rugged landscapes of the north coast, the vibrant light found in Skagen, where 2 oceans meet, and contemporary architecture.
