I will be exhibiting my bright and highly detailed watercolour paintings of flowers. With Artweeks 2024 being my first exhibition, I am looking forward to showing my artwork to a new audience.
Each painting takes many hours to complete due to the flowers being oversized and the level of detail requiring the use of tiny brushes! You will be able to see a time-lapse video of over 100 hours of work on my latest piece.
I am currently working on building my portfolio which will be on show and I would be happy to discuss a commission. I will have limited edition Giclee prints of different sizes and a selection of greetings cards for sale. I am hoping that seeing my colourful artwork will brighten your day.
I am a botanical artist. I enjoy creating highly detailed watercolour paintings of flowers and plants.
Following art college, a few days’ holiday in the Channel Isles turned into 6 months working at the Jersey Pottery as a ceramic artist where I freehand painted the floral designs on vases, plates and lamps. After raising family, I studied horticulture and started my own gardening business.
In 2020, I picked up a paintbrush again after a 35 year gap and decided to try something I’ve always wanted to do; combine my passion for horticulture and painting to explore botanical realism in watercolour.
I enjoy gardening and visiting gardens. Many of the flowers that I paint are from my own garden and others are from photographs that I have taken. I am always on the lookout for the next flower to paint.
