“Mighty oaks from little acorns grow” Just like his natural subject matter, sculptor Bruce Garside has evolved and developed to reach his current stage of artistic practice. Primarily crafted in mild steel or stainless steel, the forms and details in Bruce’s sculptures are inspired by, and celebrate, the natural world around him. His series Dancing Leaves seamlessly combines his careful observation of maple leaves falling in autumn with his dexterity for working in metal. In his limited edition, Acorn, he has succeeded in elevating the common fruit into an impressive vessel, by virtue of its size and beautiful surface patina.
