“Mighty oaks from little acorns grow” Just like his natural subject matter, sculptor/blacksmith Bruce Garside has evolved and developed to reach his current stage of artistic practice. Primarily crafted in Corten or stainless steel, the forms and details in Bruce’s sculptures are inspired by, and celebrate, the natural world around him. His series Dancing Leaves is a careful observation of maple leaves falling in autumn and in his limited edition, Acorn, he has succeeded in elevating the common fruit into an impressive vessel, by virtue of its size and beautiful surface patina.
There will be a series of Dancing Leaves Sculptures on show at the The Tree Barn, Christmas Common, and The Acorn will be on show at Ewelme Pottery.
