I make wheel thrown ceramics - mugs, bowls, vases, whatever catches my interest or feels like a challenge. I like to experiment with functional ceramics - pots that have "jobs": yarn bowls, dice towers, pots with lockable lids.

I am drawn to ceramics because it is the perfect blend of precision and abstraction. Throwing on the wheel is a technical process, but once you have made a form you can distort and change it anyway you like, and every pot carries the handprint of the person who made it.
