My work on show is inspired by my move to the country. I walk as often as I can taking notes or photographs in woodlands and pastures, there is always something new out there. the landscapes are ever changing, the light and colour is always showing a different palette, the seasons are always exciting, its a freshness of ideas, changes of direction that demand new tools and techniques. Hopefully my work evolves either with my involvement with the country or the galleries and exhibitions I often frequent.
The average size of my prints is governed by the plate I can use, this is up to 20x18 ins, while my paintings and drawings are slightly larger.
After my degree in fine art, I trained as a lithographer. Now I have my own studio where I print, paint and enjoy the freedom to create through diverse techniques, traditional and contemporary. My lithography press, which I bought when I moved to Kings Sutton from London, is the same type of press I worked on at college many years ago. Now I am able to print using digital and drawn imagery that combines my early training and my love of mixed media and experimentation.
