Leilani Jeevaratnam – Expressive Colour & Emotion in Art
Leilani Jeevaratnam is a self-taught artist based in South Oxfordshire, known for her evocative use of colour, texture, and atmosphere. Originally from Sri Lanka, she draws inspiration from the vibrant landscapes of her birthplace, blending them with an intuitive exploration of emotion and spirituality.
Working primarily in oils and acrylics, Leilani also experiments with cold wax medium to create layered, dynamic compositions. Her style, often described as abstracted realism, bridges the gap between abstraction and representation, allowing viewers to connect deeply with the essence of each piece.
A member of Oxfordshire Artweeks, The Abingdon Artists, and West Ox Arts, Leilani exhibits regularly across the county. She will be exhibiting at the Langford Arts Festival in June for the first time this year.
For this year's Oxfordshire Artweeks in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Leilani will present a collection of new and recent works, inviting visitors to experience the power of colour and emotion in her distinctive paintings.
