Focussing on ephemera and found objects, I explore the relationships between people and things. Often these are transitory and linked to the past, but may also be continuous, ongoing and/or tethered to place and time. Ideas are explored with individuals who are invited to share stories and bring selected memorabilia and ephemera (things), none of which are limited to – nor excluded by – material composition, media or technique.
My perspective is both personal and collaborative: memories are shared and narratives formed linking people to places and objects. Participation may be anonymous or credited; all contributions are catalogued. Reflections and observations are recorded, translated and processed utilising traditional print, typography and drawing to communicate visual messages.
