I'm a contemporary figurative artist based near Oxford. I've worked in graphic design and web development, studied aspects of psychology and completed an MA Design at Central St Martins. A conventional artist profile is likely to go into more detail, however I've decided to buck the trend. We're moving into an unprecedented time with the rapid development of AI generated images. While I have no issue with digital art produced by humans there's an oncoming tide of AI generated art on its way. Huge datasets of images scraped from the internet with or without consent from artists are currently being used to train AI. It's increasingly important that we show the real person behind the art we produce. So, rather than provide a conventional biography I thought I'd share some personal insights so you can get to know the very human, human behind my work.
I'm happiest when:
- Driving my little old (nearly) classic car
- Going home to a roaring fire after a long winter dog walk
- Enjoying lazy morning’s with my husband eating tons of sourdough toast washed down by fresh coffee
- In the zone with my painting, listening to music and my studio assistant softly snoring in her dog bed - life’s sweet!
- Discovering new places
- Playing tennis/golf with friends
- Getting my groove on to live music
- Hanging out, loving on the people I love.
