I'm the dreadlocked half of a creative mother-and-son duo! My childhood obsession with Star Wars and Sci-Fi films sparked my desire and increasing fascination to explore and understand the formation of galaxies, exploding stars, black holes and all things cosmic. That fascination has grown and developed into a deeper yearning to understand the secrets of the world beyond our planet, and the James Webb telescope images constantly challenge and ignite my artistic imagination.
The brilliantly filmed and narrated David Attenborough documentaries never fail to fill me with awe and wonder at the beauty and intricacies of our natural environment.
Acrylic pouring has gifted me the opportunity to develop my creativity and passion for the natural environment and beyond, from the delicate winsomeness of a perfectly formed flower, the calming movement and flow of water to the infinitely dynamic chaos and artistry of our cosmos. I love experimenting with new techniques and colour combinations to create atmospheric images, filled with light, movement and endless possibilities for individual interpretation.
As a Reiki Master I initiated the painting of several canvases based on the beautiful Chakra colours. They are designed to promote meditation and well-being. We have paintings gracing the walls of a massage studio, a yoga studio and florists workshop, a therapist's workspace and several local hostelries. We take delight in matching the colours, themes and feelings in our paintings with their intended display environment.
At the end of a painting session our bespattered studio floor is a no-go zone for several days! Painty paw-prints are avoided avoided by keeping my whippet, Snoop and my Mum's inquisitive hound cross, Chantilly well away!
