I love making jewellery, talking about jewellery, learning about jewellery and sharing about jewellery. I love it when people try on my jewellery and maybe get surprised to see how it looks, jewellery looks so different on the body from what it does in the case.
Because I enjoy all things jewellery I have a variety of ranges that reflect what I am exploring at that time and this aids the continuous development of my work. I work mainly in silver with gold and stones as accents. My work explores form with textures and carving.
I like my customers to feel they have purchased a piece that will give them joy and they'll wear for a long time.
I've been making jewellery for over 40 years starting in London the moving to Berkshire. I became a jeweller because my dad was a pilot. Because I changed schools so often art was the only continuity in my education. This led me on to art school and then specialising in jewellery and silversmithing; so there is always an aeroplane somewhere in my show.
Jewellery and silversmithing is something I fell into and I love it more which each year I continue to make, design and teach.
