Due to our current situation Amy has been offering LIVE jewellery making videos using Facebook LIVE. People have been tuning in, learning how to make a variety of projects and then able to purchase materials through Amy's online shop on her website www.amysurman.com. All her videos can be viewed on her new Jewellery channel Amy Surman School of Jewellery: www.youtube.com/user/amysurman/videos.
When our situation changes and it is safe to do so Amy will be back running workshops in her studio in Cowley. Amy's Jewellery can be viewed via her Etsy Shop www.etsy.com/uk/shop/AmySurmanJewellery.
She is continually adding to the site so please do check out her other social media platforms for further items and others projects she has/is working on.
Amy takes inspiration from natures wonderful textures, shapes and forms. Semi precious stones and beads are combined with traditional and contemporary jewellery methods to make pieces that are comfortable and enjoyable to wear. Amy has been making jewellery since graduating from her BA (Hons) Designed Metalwork and Jewellery degree in 2001. Since then, she has successfully set up her studio and teaching school based in Cowley, at The Oxford Bead Shop, which she started in 2006. "I love the processes, techniques and tools used when i'm creating and enjoy working with customers to create something truly unique to them. I also enjoy passing on my jewellery making knowledge through teaching a variety of classes & workshops to adults and children. It's wonderful seeing someone achieve something they never thought they would!"
Amy's Jewellery, workshops and online jewellery sessions can be viewed on her website www.amysurman.com
