. In addition to our Artweeks exhibition, we will be opening the weaving barn where we will have an exhibition of our textiles, some on the loom. The Weaving Barn is located behind The Manor House, Henley Road, Sandford on Thames, OX4 4YN. Turn into Rock Farm Lane and look for the signs and bunting. There is a car park adjacent to the Barn. We will be open on Sat 4th, Sun 5th, Wed 8th and Thurs 9th between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm. We hope to see you there.
Local photographer Bernard Clarke will be showing work at The Rusty Bicycle pub as well as at the venue, during Artweeks.
Our group of textile artists has been meeting at Sandford on Thames for the last fourteen years. We are all weavers, but we also practice many other aspects of textile work - spinning, natural and eco dyeing, stitching, knitting and crochet. Underpinning much of our work is the idea of recycling and using natural materials and plant based dyes. We have been greatly influenced by contemporary textile trends, and by the work of weavers in Japan and Scandinavia. Our work is both collaborative but also individual - personality always shines through.
Susanna Geddes will have a display of paintings.
