TALES OF SCOTLAND is the theme for this year's exhibition in light, airy Archangel Studio in Cumnor Village, near Oxford.
Colourful seascapes and landscapes are inspired by a summer walking trip on the magical Isle of Skye. Sarah Bond's 'Winds of Change' paintings, highlighting renewable energy, will also be on show.
Beautiful tonal drawings by Sasha Bond, chart his epic cycle ride from Land's End to John o' Groats, raising money for Shelter. Copies of his illustrated book, 'Country Conquered' will also be for sale.
The exhibition will be following Covid safe rules to insure a relaxing visit.
I am a landscape painter, working mainly in oils, from my studio in Cumnor Village. Walking inspires my art, whether it is across the local countryside, along coastal paths, or high in the mountains.
Recently my work has explored the effect of climate change on the natural environment and the positive aspects of renewable energy.
I take part in Oxfordshire Artweeks annually and exhibit regularly in local Art Exhibitions. In 2018 I was a featured artist in The Oxford Art Book, launched at Blackwell’s Bookshop. In the same year my ‘Radcliffe Camera’ painting was chosen to go on the front cover of the Oxford Times magazine.
Last year I was shortlisted for the Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition in Bristol and the New English Art Club Exhibition in London. I've also taken part in Zuleika Gallery’s Art from the Heart Exhibitions to raise funds for the NHS and Maggie's Oxford.
