Colour and the beauty of nature often inspired by the Chiltern countryside or her native Scotland, is what most excite Trisha Scott. Having had a background in science and travel, she started painting only 13 years ago on retirement with no formal training, Trisha started the Watercress Painters, the local village art group, over 10 years ago and enjoys plein air painting, workshops and gallery visits with her group. Having started painting in watercolour, Trisha moved over to more versatile pastels and now really enjoys the vibrancy and immediacy of oils, whilst experimenting occasionally with mixed media. Her style is relatively figurative but sometimes experimental. Trisha will be exhibiting in the church, St Mary’s, in the picturesque watercress village of Ewelme with local tea room and opposite Ewelme Pottery.
