I make paintings & drawings of landscapes and figures, from life and imagination, to depict atmosphere and arouse curiosity. I work with colour & texture to animate my work. Life drawing has been a life-long interest and some of the works on show come from this pursuit. All the works are based on my observation and interpretation of what I see and feel when contemplating a scene. Sometimes l work from memory and then the emotion evoked will be my starting point. What the viewer sees and feels is often, for me, the most interesting, sometimes surprising, and always challenging part of making art. Come and tell me what you see.
