The Old School Art Collective is proud to return for Artweeks 2025 with a diverse range of creative makers, bound to engage every taste and interest. Our work comprises unique dream-like ceramics; delicate detailed watercolours; wheel-thrown artisanal pottery; vivid abstracts in acrylic and oil; lustrous wood-turned bowls and quirky pyrography homeware. With the Tap Social bar and Fishes pub on hand, and plenty of other local exhibitors, why not make a day of it?
Our artists:
Helen Beech is a pyrographer inspired by the natural world in all its scaly, spiky glory. She produces unique chopping boards, tea lights, boxes and clocks which celebrate the weird beauty of quirky creatures. https://www.instagram.com/icarus_pyrography/
John Rendle is a wood turner working with found and responsibly sourced timber to produce one-off pieces of wooden homeware. Each piece is created with attention to the unique tone and grain of the material. From wood-turned bowls to delicate vases and tealights, John’s work is tactile, warm, and beautiful. https://www.instagram.com/john.rendle.16/
Marcus Wattam is a potter sharing an antidote to mass-produced homeware with beautiful wheel-thrown cups, vases, bowls and jugs. Bringing the joy of imperfection to all. https://www.instagram.com/old_skool_pottery/
Amy Boyd returned to painting during lockdown 2020 after a break of many years. She is a keen gardener and flowers have been her principal subject so far. She works mostly from photographs of flowers to produce detailed watercolours. https://www.instagram.com/amcaboarts/
Issy Miller has been inspired by Mother Nature since lockdown and has taken her ceramics in a comforting direction. Creating mugs, creatures and fantastical sculptures with surreal imagery, she hopes to create a world of serenity and peace people can fall into when they feel the world gets too much.

Tina Mohindra is an artist working in oils, acrylics, and watercolours. She enjoys working with vivid colours and experimenting with scale and form in her abstract work. She has studied at the prestigious KLC school of design and also holds a PhD in a scientific field, both of which enhance her attention to detail and inform the thought process behind her paintings.
