Abstract meets bizarre through the playful eye of the lens, the splash of the paint brush and the jiggy-jaggy line of the pencil. I'm not new to art but this art is new to me so, when I started this new art-adventure it struck me that there are no straight lines with Parkinson's. Two years ago, coming from a graphic art background, I was a devotee of the perfect line, an acolyte of the orderly. Today Parkinson's has transformed my inner eye. There is no 'out of focus', no colour combination that cannot compliment and no shape that cannot have new meaning. Applying this new philosophy to my passion for the chaos and orderly disorder of workshops has lead to the Bruce's Workshop photos and abstract paintings. But this is just the beginning; this glorious release compels me to explore the moodiness of weather-lashed landscapes and the cheeky curiosity of the candid photograph. The handbrake is off and the road has many twists and turns to come.
