Joseph Bull Studio is a ceramics studio based in Wotton-by-Woodstock, North Oxfordshire at the foot of the Cotswolds. For nearly a decade I have specialised in the ancient craft of creating stunning colours in my glazes from ash obtained from individual species of trees. I make in stoneware and porcelain. All my work are essentially vessels, glazed both by the mineral composition of individual tree species and by the naturally occurring process of firing using the wood kilns.
