Region:
Summertown - City
Artform:
Ceramics

Robyn Hardyman works with porcelain, making functional and decorative wheel thrown vessels – bowls, vases, jugs and more. Elegant and balanced shapes define the pared-back simplicity of her work. She is drawn to porcelain’s delicacy and strength, and the pure surface it offers for glazes. Her pieces are thrown to a thin and delicate finish, and she relishes exploring glaze colours and textures that complement the simplicity of their forms. Her colour palette is cool, blues, greys, pale greens and creams – calming and harmonious.

Robyn's work is shown in galleries and fairs around the UK. She is proud to be a Selected Member of the Craft Potters Association (https://www.craftpotters.com/cpa-members-profiles-h/) and a member of Contemporary Applied Arts (https://www.caagallery.org.uk/artists/), both based in London, and of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craft.

She is showing in the heart of Summertown, with two other wonderful artist-makers: painter Harriet Eagle and jeweller Zanna Rand-Bell. We are surrounded by very many other venues showing a great variety of art, to make a fantastic day of your visit.
