I'm looking forward to participating in ArtWeeks for the first time this year, having recently moved from a home studio to a workshop which is part of the Crawley Mill Creatives.
I have been working in clay for the last few years, with my previous training rooted in graphic design and a long history of dabbling with various crafts. Working with clay has always called to me, but my past creative endeavours continue to influence the work I produce today. I enjoy sharing my work and look forward to meeting visitors during ArtWeeks.
My focus is the creation of beautiful, tactile, and functional pieces that are great to use and own. I like working with strong, simple shapes that often have a graphic element, and glazes that enhance that.
Every piece is hand thrown in small batches on my wheel using stoneware clay and fired to 1240°c, making elegant yet robust ceramics that are perfect for everyday use.
