My landscape oil paintings are plein air, finished in a single sitting whilst working outside. I choose not to work from photographs when painting familiar, well-loved locations such as Port Meadow and the University Parks, preferring to finish my paintings in situ. Working through the changing seasons in this way, I paint to capture a spirit of place.
