Iron Down Sculpture Studio is a vibrant makers space for seven sculptors working in mixed media and ceramics. The studio caterers for our artists needs and creativity.
The studio is just over a year old and the members are super excited that the old calf barn will welcome you again to our wonderful art space. Historically our roots were from George Muller’s Studio. George was an amazing stained-glass artist who designed the windows in Liverpool Cathedral. In his footsteps we continue to offer a collaborative studio.
The studio emerged from Bicester Sculpture Group when sadly we had to move from the town. We had great luck to find Iron Down Farm, near Deddington village, in the foothills of the Cotswold. This started our new journey and the feedback from lasts years Oxfordshire Artweeks and peoples continuing support has been amazing. We are truly grateful to the wonderful people who helped and supported us. Visitors gave us motivation and energy to believe we have a gem of an art space.
Many asked about becoming a member and workshops. Our new members are a wonderful bonus to us all. We work in clay, wire, metals, wood and mixed media. With the bonus of offering clay art workshops too.
Iron Down Sculpture Studio is an art makers space. Our art is very varied and with lots of talented people around there is always someone for inspiration and a little help.
We will be offering refreshments in our beautiful setting.
