Valerie has spent all of her working life since Art School as a mainly figurative artist/designer under her maiden name of Valerie Green, both here in UK and in the USA. Employed in Commerce and also as a Freelance producing a large body of bespoke private Commissions.
For Artweeks she will be receiving you at her home and studio in Watlington where much of her work will be displayed.
During the 70's and 80's her designs for Needlepoint canvas work were renowned for commemorating various Royal Occasions, and her design commemorating the raising of the Mary Rose was honoured by the then Prince of Wales for raising funds for the ships restoration.
In recent years Valerie has turned her attention to Drawing and Painting and Decorative Wall Art commissioned for the Home. She has also discovered a new interest in Portraiture. Having done dozens of Animal Portraits over the years, People have now grabbed her attention.
