The Old School Art Collective is back for another year featuring original, inspirational, colourful artwork and unique functional homeware. Our collection this year includes a variety of new work from artisanal artistic ceramics, unique woodturned pieces and functional pyrography art to Oxford-inspired abstract art. There’s something for every taste and interest! If you want to make a day of it there’s the Tap Social Bar or the Fishes pub nearby, and lots of other artists in the area.

Our artists:
Marcus Wattam a potter sharing an antidote to mass-produced homeware with beautiful wheel-thrown cups, bowls and jugs. Bringing the joy of imperfection for all to experience. https://www.instagram.com/old_skool_pottery/
Helen Beech is a pyrographer with a penchant for the scaly, spiky, and squidgy. She produces unique pieces on wooden homeware and gifts which celebrate the weird beauty of quirky creatures. https://www.instagram.com/icarus_pyrography/
John Rendel is a talented wood turner working with found and responsibly sourced timber to produce one-off pieces of wooden homeware. Each piece is created with attention to the unique patterns and fissures of the wood. From wood-turned bowls and plates to delicately produced wooden vases, John’s work is tactile, warm, and beautiful. https://www.instagram.com/john.rendle.16/
Lizzie Shannon-Little is an abstract painter and mixed media artist. Her works are explorations in movement and connection. An intuitive use of bold colour is central to her practice, combining with both intentional and spontaneous mark making to create composition. Her art is vibrant, playful, and kinetic, holding an energy and power for the viewer. She has shown in exhibitions across Oxford, Bristol, and London. Her works are held in private collections in the UK, USA, and Indonesia. She is a Trustee of WOA Gallery in Bampton and an Associate at OVADA in Oxford. https://www.instagram.com/eshannonlittle/
Issy Miller (she/they/them) is an upcoming artist specialising in ceramics, textiles, and jewellery. Their work focuses on exploring themes of nature and surrealism through the lens of childhood/Kidcore imagery. Using clay and crochet, they will translate these dream-like concepts into mixed media sculptures.
