Wendy Skinner Smith has lived in Oxford since 1972. She taught Art and Art History in local schools and retired as Deputy Head of The Cherwell School in 1999. Her fascination with glass and its scope to reflect the world has provided endless inspiration. Her work often shows the ambiguity of reflections contained within an insistent order of grids. In her Oxford paintings reflections of and in colleges, bars, streets and shops are juxtaposed from observed reflections but inconsistent with time and viewpoint. She plans to be working in her studio and there are paintings, prints, drawings, postcards for sale.
