My art is inspired by my reverence for nature and my love of stories – especially those entwined with our history and culture.
Both are ubiquitous throughout our lives, and shape who we are and our sense of our place in the world.
I paint to celebrate the everyday beauty of nature and the wonder of story – the nourishment we need to counter the mundanities of everyday existence.
I hope my art brings you joy, escapism and a little wonder.

I’m a British artist based in Oxford, where I live with my husband and children.
I’ve been drawing and painting from an early age, encouraged by my artist grandmother, who bought me my first paints and taught me how to use them.
I grew up in Portugal and the UK, and also lived in France, where I studied at the Académie des Beaux Arts in Grasse. I came back to art after studying Psychology at Durham University, followed by sensible desk jobs. It took a serious illness and a lengthy recovery to make me realise it really wasn’t for me. So I finally heeded the call of my first love, and returned to the joy of creating art.
I now work from my garden studio, mostly painting in oils.
