Open studio and open house. There are quite a few large pieces so paintings are hung all through the house. An opportunity to see the artwork and also the progress on the restoration of a small (but perfectly formed) mid-century bungalow.
Lots of work ranging in size from 200 x 150cm to 20 x 20cm. Also a few prints.
No appointment needed on open days 13, 14, 15, 18,19 & 20 May 11am - 6pm, but if you want to let me know when you're coming you can book using https://artsvp.com/cc981a. Visits may be possible outside these hours so do make contact to see if something might be arranged.
Plenty of parking. Although there's steps up to the main entrance, there's also a step-free access to the back door.
Elaine Kazimierczuk chooses the natural world as an important focus for her painting, such as wildflower meadows, hedgerows, woodlands, cottage and botanic gardens. A recent subject of interest has emerged from visits to lush temperate rainforests at a series of locations across the British Isles. Her landscape paintings, though semi-abstract, are personal accounts of what she encounters, based on a vocabulary of non-figurative shapes and gestures. A keen supporter of initiatives that manage and support fragile ecosystems, her aim is to represent nature with its intricate assembly of wild beauty. The scale of her canvases varies from intimate studies that can sit on a bookshelf to very large pieces to fill entire walls.
