If you are out and about during Artweeks and fancy doing some sketching yourself then I have drawing materials, clipboards and paper available at my venue in the University Parks Cricket Pavilion (venue 220). Drop in and chat about trees and feel free to head out into the Parks to enjoy sketching some of the magnificent trees which inspire me and many other local artists throughout the year. I will be in the pavilion all the time and happy to offer advice on charcoal and chalk, my preferred materials for quick sketches out in the open. I am always keen to share and to hear stories of trees - which is your favourite? and why? Home-made refreshments (proceeds to charity) are also available. In previous years visitors of all ages have enjoyed this chance to share their interests in trees and I look forward to seeing familiar faces and new visitors in May.
