Venue, Timing, Cost
Date and time: Saturday 1st June 10.30am to 12.45pm
Location: Charlbury War Memorial Hall, Browns Lane, Charlbury OX7 3QW
In the lovely Oxfordshire town of Charlbury, you will learn this ancient craft and be able to print your own beautiful designs using a wide range of hand carved blocks. Print either a set of napkins or any three other items of your choice (tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers) which you can take home on the day.
You will first have a demonstration and then you will practise on old fabric until you are ready to create your own designs. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron!
Tea, coffee, cordial and biscuits will be provided but please feel free to bring any additional drinks or snacks if you would like to.
There will be a few printing blocks and blank textiles available to buy at the end for anyone who is interested in pursuing this craft at home.
If you plan to make a day of it and have a pub lunch afterwards I highly recommend visiting one of the lovely pubs the town has to offer.
