Assenden Glass 25Yrs working with various glass techniques including blown cutting and polishing and casting.
It was such a delight to be polishing up m y work and setting it out for shows earlier this year. Some of my blown pieces had been made in February 2020 and had barely seen the light of day since then. Later in the year I had been spending time in the workshop casting some Fennel, meltwater pieces and bowls, with the usual variation in the success rate. When it came to setting up, we found we had rather lost the routine of making our flyers, getting them printed, emailed and posted, so all that took longer than we remember. But when people started to arrive, well, it was so good to see old friends and new people who seemed really interested in the process of making, and my sources of inspiration. Sales were encouraging – I had to stop talking to wrap up glass.
I now look forward to developing the ideas that began in 2020, it is always an exiting moment getting back to the blowing studio
