Robyn Hardyman OCG

porcelain vases
Wallingford - South & Vale

Robyn Hardyman works with porcelain, making functional and decorative wheel-thrown vessels – bowls, vases, jugs and more. Elegant and balanced shapes define the pared back simplicity of her work. She is drawn to porcelain’s delicacy and strength, and the pure surface it offers for glazes. Her pieces are thrown to a thin and delicate finish, and she relishes exploring glaze colours and textures that complement the simplicity of their forms. Her colour palette is cool, blues, greys, pale greens and creams – calming and harmonious.

Robyn works from her studio in Oxford. She is a regular exhibitor at Artweeks, and has exhibited at many events such as Handmade in Oxford, Handmade in Chelsea, Potfest, Celebrating Ceramics and the Craft Festival. She is a member of Find a Maker (the curated collection of fine craft makers), Design Nation, the Oxfordshire Crafts Guild, the Gloucester Guild of Craftsmen, London Potters, and the Crafts Council Directory.

In Wallingford I am showing with painter Christine Bass and jeweller Kate Wilkinson. The Coach House is just two minutes walk from the central crossroads near Waitrose. Please park at one of the town centre car parks and walk to the crossroads. Castle Street goes north, with Boots Opticians and the Lamb Arcade either side of the street. Refreshments will be on offer. We look forward to welcoming you!
