Robyn Hardyman works with porcelain, making functional and decorative wheel-thrown vessels – bowls, vases, jugs and more. Elegant and balanced shapes define the pared back simplicity of her work. She is drawn to porcelain’s delicacy and strength, and the pure surface it offers for glazes. Her pieces are thrown to a thin and delicate finish, and she relishes exploring glaze colours and textures that complement the simplicity of their forms. Her colour palette is cool, blues, greys, pale greens and creams – calming and harmonious.

Robyn works from her studio in Oxford. She is a regular exhibitor at Artweeks, and has exhibited at many events such as Handmade in Oxford, Handmade in Chelsea, Potfest, Celebrating Ceramics and the Craft Festival. She is a member of Find a Maker (the curated collection of fine craft makers), Design Nation, the Oxfordshire Crafts Guild, the Gloucester Guild of Craftsmen, London Potters, and the Crafts Council Directory.

Our venue is in the heart of Summertown, and we have an absolute wealth of talent here this year, with three other artist-makers exhibiting alongside Robyn's ceramics: they are painter Harriet Eagle, jeweller Zanna Rand-Bell, and textile artist Julia Engelhardt. They each have their own Artweeks entries so check them out, and come and see our beautiful show! We are also surrounded by many other wonderful venues to visit in Summertown.
