Inspired artists creating diverse art
Oxon Artmakers is a new group of artists expressing our feelings onto paper, canvas and in other media, making inspiring art. Most of us met while attending painting and drawing classes at Abingdon and Witney College. Having concentrated on our careers we are now finding time to fulfil different creative ambitions. We have different backgrounds in different economic sectors some science-based others in business and health sectors…… Some of us are now retired; others of us are finding time as children have flown the nest, others of us are preparing for careers in the creative sector. While some of us are embracing activities very different from our day jobs, for others it complements our work. What brings us together is the exploration of our creative talents and learning and taking inspiration from each other as we go along. Sometimes to our surprise, we have all discovered an innate ability to create interesting and inspiring art works. We all have different styles, some realistic and detailed, others more imaginative and free flowing.
