My paintings are expressive and intuitive, and respond to the light, atmosphere and topography of the natural world. I love playing with colour and mark making to create vibrant artworks that reflect the vitality of the landscape.

From cultivated botanic gardens to wild stormy beaches and the rolling hills where I live, painting and sketching en plein air is a vital part of my practice. I use loose, immediate brush marks to portray the sense excitement and adventure I feel when exploring these places.
