Josephine Malden:
Having a keen interest in the natural world I am constantly delighted by the simplicity as well as the complexity of nature’s design. Leaves, flowers, seeds and insects with their forms, textures and patterns provide me plenty of inspiration for my silver jewellery. My other fascination is in fossils, having grown up near the Jurassic coast where ammonites abound in the strata, they often find their way into my sketchbook and of course the Oxford Natural History Museum isn’t far away with more weird and wonderful fossils such as the Trilobite. I use traditional silversmithing techniques such as, forming, milling, hammering and reticulation to create different textures and transform flat sheet into more organic shapes. Most of my pieces are made with recycled silver sometimes incorporating other metals such as copper, brass or gold along with semiprecious beads or even slate or felt.

Jackie Richards:
Specialising in British birds and wildlife, my collages are made entirely from recycled colour magazines. Incorporated within many of the collages you might find unexpected “hidden” images of people, buildings, butterflies, animals and other objects. Each collage takes in excess of 20 hours to make, some up to a week. I sell original artwork, giclee prints, and greetings cards. Pet commissions on request.
