I have been a potter for over thirty years, and for the last six years I have been using porcelain mostly thrown and sometimes altered. Inspired by abstract expressionist painters, the coloured glazes are applied with spontaneous brush strokes creating a feeling of movement and energy. I make a small range of tableware which is robust and dishwasher proof, and my one off pieces - bowls, vases, bottles and jugs, will add a splash of colour to any interior. The finely thrown tableware includes mugs, bowls, jugs, pasta bowls, lemon squeezers and teapots. I make my own glazes using wood ash and natural oxides.
