I will be exhibiting alongside David Williams and Sue Side with their amazing sculpture work and drawings, paintings and portraits! All of our work is surrounding nature. I will be exhibiting new pieces inspired by the natural four elements: earth, water, fire and air. I was first inspired by this for my final project at university based on the elements. I wanted to extend my idea and design new, everyday, wearable pieces that wound suit everyone! The new collection is carved from wax, a traditional jewellery making method, and cast into sterling silver and gold. I will also be exhibiting the previous collection, which is all sterling silver pieces inspired by the moon and stars.
I first started jewellery making by going to an evening class during my gap year. This inspired me to do an art foundation at Brookes University, this gave me a chance to explore different mediums, however, I found all my projects came back to 3D making, mostly inspired by jewellery, so I applied to do a HND in jewellery and silversmithing at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham and was accepted! During my time doing this course, I started up my business on Etsy as well as making bespoke pieces.
