Underneath tree bark hides a treasury of nature's artistry. I delight in revealing what lies beneath with my lathe and carving tools. Most of the wood I use is local, from Blewbury or nearby villages. I enjoy repurposing wood and am currently making a rocking horse from an old door from our house, a hardwood shelf from a bakery and the remains of a deceased ash tree from my late parents' garden.
Many of my items are entries in the Didcot and District Woodturners monthly competition, where we are encouraged to innovate our design and finish work to the highest standards we can achieve.
At the exhibition I'll be chipping away at a piece of wood, my latest project at Oxfordshire Woodcarvers Club.
I look forward to seeing you!
