My exhibition during ArtWeeks 2022 will be held in an exciting new venue - The Tree Barn near my home in Christmas Common.
Along with eight other artists we hope to create an intriguing experience, with a trail through an open barn, out buildings, drawing room, terrace and garden.
My work will respond to the scale of the space with some new large scale Japanese inspired paper panels, but also some smaller collage still life works, some of which will also be available as prints.
There is ample parking at the venue, some eclectic on site catering, and an opportunity to join us for a supper club amongst the artwork too.
Late night opening on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th.
I worked for many years internationally as a designer of textiles and interiors and I bring this knowledge and ability to my artwork.
Playing with shape, colour and texture - this year I am driven by a need to utilise the piles of printed paper and coloured marks of all sorts which I have created over the years.
Irreplaceable as many of these scraps are, I love the way things created years apart find themselves pieced together in a collage.
My inspiration is always from nature - rustic and organic, my work develops its own momentum.
My focus is now entirely local - Lockdown and a husband who has had to shield means that a vertical landscape has been my escape, my imagination and my saviour.
