I have always painted and sketched, and have had to fit my art into a busy life.
I have been keen to try more abstract painting, and so last July went on a wonderful course in Tresco. We did some amazing things, and I returned with a list of exercises to try out and lots of enthusiasm. All summer , autumn and winter I played with paints, colours, brushes and knives, pens, pencils and collage.I have had such fun, and the results have been exciting.
But I am not sure that these pieces are ready for ArtWeeks!
When I looked at what paintings I had actually completed, I found a lot of very detailed pictures of Tresco shells and autumn fruits, very realistic and not at all abstract and quite small. The antithesis of abstract, in fact.
So I am showing both styles, each totally different, though both produced by the same person with similar materials!
