Lynn Pilgrim loves working in mixed media, found objects and textiles and usually incorporates free machine embroidery somewhere along the line.
She is fascinated with layers and textures and the way different mediums can be combined, often with surprising results.
She enjoys free machine embroidery and collage and as she never quite knows how her work will turn out, she allows it to develop organically.
Most of her pieces are slightly wonky and quirky and she likes nothing better than to find or reuse something and turn it into something else.
She is inspired by so many things including the natural world and historical artefacts and particularly by the juxtaposition of shapes and patterns forming an abstract of the familiar.
She has a particular fondness for beach huts and summerhouses and works from her own summerhouse studio in the garden.
Lynn has a variety of other items and greetings cards available from her website.
