My paintings range widely from brightly coloured landscapes, to abstract designs large and small. I enjoy using acrylic paints and gels and their variations of interference, metallic and fluorescent colours. I am delighted to be sharing my large gallery space with Andrea Whitehouse this year.
My love of walking through the countryside, especially on long distance paths, inspires me to paint pathways through the landscape, absorbing the light, colours and shapes seen on the way. My career background was in physics and mathematics, but on retirement I followed my long-time love of art and gained a B.A. Hons in Fine Art. I paint using my imagination and visual memory. I love experimenting with the interaction of colours and shapes.
